Sunscreen Lotion Recipe

Hydrophobic and micronized titanium dioxide 80%         9.57

Phase C

Procedure:

Heat a double boiler until it reaches to 65°C. Mix all the ingredients of phase A and beat them on moderate speed on the boiler. Add titanium dioxide intermittently until it is finely incorporated in the mixture. Heat another boiler until it also reaches to 65°C. Then beat in moderate speed all the ingredients of phase C. Combine slowly mixture of phase C to that of phase A-B, then beat moderately for 30°C. Cool then beat the mixture at intervals until it homogenizes. Pour in sterilized plastic tubes.

Anhydrous Vitamin C Cream

Phase B

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)                                       5.00

Propylene glycol                                                 65.00

Procedure:

In a sterilized beaker, mix all the ingredients of phase A. Then heat mixture to 50°C. In a separate beaker, mix together propylene glycol and ascorbic acid until homogenous. Carefully add the propylene glycol-ascorbic acid mixture to that of phase A at 50°C and maintain the temperature. Continue mixing
for about 30 minutes; increase beating speed as product thickens. When mixture cools to 30°C, beat moderately. Add preservative and fragrance and mix well until cream is smooth. Pour into sterilized jars.
